Subject to 50% / 50% quota sharing with Cedants for Covid-19 and non Covid-19 related claims for those declared policies with Covid-19 rider; Otherwise existing quota sharing percentage per contract will apply for non-Covid-19 related claims under those declared policies with no Covid-19 rider.
- Annual Minimum Reinsurance Premium (Quarterly Payment)
Subject to USD 10,000 annual minimum guaranteed RI premium applicable to this Covid-19 rider (representing MAPFRE Asistencia 50% share only) -This Annual Minimum Reinsurance Premium is ONLY applicable during the pandemic but as applicable, will revert to the existing ANNUAL MINIMUM REINSURANCE PREMIUM (per pre-pandemic Travel Reinsurance Contract), whichever is higher, once travel normalizes.This Annual Minimum Reinsurance Premium is ONLY applicable during the pandemic but as applicable, will revert to the existing ANNUAL MINIMUM REINSURANCE PREMIUM (per pre-pandemic Travel Reinsurance Contract), whichever is higher, once travel normalizes.
The Cedant commits itself for an annual minimum premium to be wholly paid to the Reinsurer of Ten Thousand US Dollars (USD 10,000) in relation to this agreement. The said amount is the reinsurance premium net to MAPFRE Asistencia inclusive of IBERO Asistencia’s administration / claims handling fee. This does not yet include Cedant’s fronting fee, commissions and any other applicable local taxes/charges.
Quarterly invoices for the actual daily declarations will be provided to Cedant within the third week of the month following the considered quarter after receiving the monthly bordereaux from Cedant within thirty days (30) days following the considered quarter.
Cedant will pay within thirty (30) days from receipt of invoice of the actual declarations for the relevant quarter.
Should the Cedant fail to fulfill the annual minimum reinsurance premium within the first three (3) quarters of the contract /addendum year, the variance will be billed on the 12th month (during the last quarter billing) of the contract in full, payable within 30 days further to date of inception or of renewal of the Agreement.
Any delay of payment will imply an interest of 0.5% net per month and partially of the month
In the event of cancellation of the agreement, the minimum premium remains due.
This Annual MÃnimum Reinsurance Premium becomes due and payable (within 30 days from receipt of the relevant invoice) in the event that this addendum is pre-terminated.
- Maximum Days of Coverage allowed (Indemnified Program)
a) For Two Way continuous leisure / business trips - Covid-19 is covered up to a maximum 180 days only
b) For Two Way Annual Multi Trip - Covid-19 is covered up to a maximum of 90 days per Trip Only
c) For OFW One Way Trip for Travel Requirements to go to country of work destination abroad - Covid-19 is covered up to a maximum of 21 days Only; Excluding USA and Canada
d) For One Way Trip Non OFWs - Covid-19 is covered up to 24 hours upon reaching immigration
Note: c) and d) are applicable to International Travel ONLY
- Maximum Age
Up to 65 years old Only; Not to be offered to travelers more than 65 years old
Note: The usual applicable age surcharge on the main Travel RI contract applies aside from the Covid-19 rider.
- Eligible Individuals
Applicable to Individual and Family ONLY
NOTE: Individuals are eligible up to a maximum of 10 people travelling at the same time with the same travel date and destination
Not to be offered to Groups (i.e, Individuals who are more than 10 and who are travelling at the same time, with the same date and destination)

Subject to Daily Declaration - Non declared or late declared travelers will not be covered
